Miyya’s Story

While strolling down my timeline on Facebook, I ran across a video that not only inspired me but left me in tears.  It was a video of a beautiful young lady by the name of  Myyia telling her story.  As I say all the time, “we all have a story to tell” and this young lady’s story is nothing short of amazing.

In a time where so many women are battered and beat down by life and societies beauty standards, this beautiful warrior wears her scars with pride.  She knows that God kept her for a reason and because of that, she laughs in the face of adversity.  Myyia wrote along with her touching video, “There is no reason for a person to feel insecure, whether it’s your marks, looks, or the inside. You are beautiful in your own way. Someone love you, and someone will always love you for you! I hope this help a lot of people. Insecurity people kills other people happiness. Share, like, and comment thank you.”

Thank you Myyia for sharing you story with the world and for being bold, fierce and fearless but most of all for turning your tragedy into triumph.

But how did she get burned in the first place?

Her video says she was 5 almost 6, at her aunts home – asleep – and her shirt caught on fire. No mention of how or why. No mention of if someone was at fault or an electrical accident. Sounds like all the prayers for her reached heaven as she is a strong woman now. Congratulations to Miiya!
