Friday I had the pleasure of attending South Georgia Fashion Week’s Dangerous Curve Ahead plus size fashion show. The show’s producer Charlie Hill-Henderson is a good friend and I am so proud of her and the brand that she is building with this annual event. Over the years, I have participated in a few different capacities so it was great to be in attendance for the five-year anniversary of South Georgia Fashion Week.
South Georgia Fashion Week, which was formally known as Albany Fashion Week is an amazing event that has provided a platform for many raising stars and artist individuals. The event is the largest in South Georgia and offers opportunity for designers of many different fashion areas to showcase their work.
This year, the Dangerous Curves event had a full circle moment as one of its former models switch roles and served as the host. Jessica Carter is a beautiful young woman with a huge personality whose dream is to influence women all over the world. That personality shined bright as she engaged the audience and introduced us to the shows designers, models and other participants. This was proud moment for me because I have known Jessica for many years and as her friend to seeing her grow in the directed she has dreamed of is amazing.
Check out some of the looks from the event captured by Exposure Magazine. If you want to see more, head on over to South Georgia Fashion Week’s Facebook Page.
