Last night I was in Harlem at the Cove Lounge for Impact Magazine’s Cocktails and Conversations with Gwen Devoe. In addition to the Mogul Diva, we had the pleasure of hearing from the Face of Full Figured Fashion Week, Re’vee Lamar and seeing fashions from Honey’s Child Boutique.
Cocktails & Conversations launched in Atlanta, GA with IMPACT Magazine’s live interview with Grammy nominated Angie Stone with approximately 200 guests attending. From the initial event, Cocktails & Conversations has expanded to include over 100 partners, including sponsors, bloggers, small businesses and other industry professionals. Cocktails & Conversations events features an array of conversations ranging from overcoming obstacles, owning your own business, to living on purpose where they spoke with fashion designers who showcased their collections.
This was my first time attending a Cocktails and Conversations event but definitely not my last. Good music, good drinks and a great group of people set the tone for what was an a very nice event. Host/ Editor and Chief of Impact Magazine, Tunisha Brown did an amazing job of entertaining a packed house.
VIP, had the pleasure of getting their drink on compliments of Tiny’s Tequila. I didn’t have a chance to sample it, because I was late but I am told it was pretty good. If you’re interested in cocktails and mixology, there are plenty of online resources which will help you to become a pro, for example take a look at advanced mixology and their variations of the moscow mule.
Although I have done my homework, it was good to hear from Gwen DeVoe and Re’vee Lamar. Both ladies were motivational, their stories had a message that inspired me and others in attendance to never give up.
