Hello and happy Monday PHAT Girls!
I have been a makeup enthusiast for as long as I can remember. Even when I was not allowed to wear makeup, I dreamt of the moment when I would be able to and once I could it was on and popping. Yes, my love for makeup runs deep but it is my opinion that it is more important to maintain healthy skin. So, although I love makeup and I live for a good beat, I must admit… Every day is not a beat face day.
Now before I go any further, I think that it is important that I state a few facts so that you won’t jump to the wrong conclusions. It is a woman’s prerogative to wear or not wear makeup and I would never judge either way. It is also more important to note that a beautiful heart is far more important than physical beauty. However, I would be lying if I said that physical beauty wasn’t important… Because it is! Physical beauty is what sets the tone in many situations because your appearance greets others before you utter one word. I also need to say that there is not one look that is the universal picture of beauty, beauty is as diverse as a finger print.
While makeup is a great source, it is important that you don’t abuse or misuse it. I think that it is unfortunate that so many women compromise their natural physical beauty by not caring for their skin properly. I know women who are now prisoner to makeup because they have done so little to assure that their skin was protected from the elements, age and makeup.
The fact is, whether you are a woman who never wears makeup or one who wears it all the time, you must adopt a skin care regimen that will promote healthy skin. This is something that I learned in my 20’s, as my skin begin to change. All my life, I had gotten lucky and avoided acne and then things begin to change. I went from only cleaning my face with warm water to searching high and low for products that would fight acne, clean combination skin and clear up blemishes.
Today, as a woman who is proudly approaching 40 years of life, I have new concerns and a new regimen. My new regimen which I will share below addresses some things that many of you can relate to because so many of us are transitioning and it is important that we maintain our girlish looks even though we are all woman. Lucky for me, I have found the one product that answers the call of my biggest skin care issues; cleansing, revitalizing and anti-aging. That new product is the LUNA 2 by Foreo.
The revolutionary designed LUNA 2 is an enhanced T – Sonic™ face brush that give users a personalized cleansing experience. The features that make the LUNA 2 so personal are the four specialized brush types and the memory. Oh, and did I mention that the LUNA 2 has an anti-aging system? Well, it does!
I have the blue LUNA 2, which is for combination skin and anti-aging. While I have only had it for a couple of weeks, I love it and I see a huge difference. My skin feels young again; it is so smooth, radiant and firm. Honestly I didn’t expect to see these results so soon but I am appreciative because this skin has to be on fleek well into my 80’s.
My Daily (Day/Night) Skin Care Regimen
Cleanse face using LUNA 2 and Olay Refreshing Citrus Scrub Cleaner.
Rinse face with lukewarm water and towel dry.
Use (2 minutes)LUNA 2 (reverse side) for anti-aging effects.
Apply Palmer’s Eventone Face Oil (morning)
Apply Fruit Of The Earth Aloe Vera Gel (night)
Please note that this regimen is what I have found works for me and your skin may require something different. However, no matter what product you choose to use, LUNA 2 will work with it and for you.
